The interconnectedness of my work

I want visitors to understand how all of my ENC 1102 assignments connect together and show my growth as a writer. Each reflection explains not just what I did, but how I learned from it and how it helped me improve. I want them to feel like my ePortfolio tells a full story of my writing journey and the effort I put into developing my skills.

My 'aha!' moments in writing

One of my biggest “aha” moments was realizing that writing doesn’t have to be perfect the first time; it’s a process. I learned that revising and taking feedback seriously actually makes my work stronger. Another important lesson was understanding that my personal experiences and beliefs, like my faith, can be a powerful part of my writing. It helped me find my voice and made my work feel more meaningful and authentic.

Challenges and growth from key assignments

One assignment that really challenged me was one of my major assignments where I had to analyze my artifact, which was my Bible, and connect it to my writing and personal growth. It was difficult at first because I had to go deeper than just explaining what it is; I had to reflect on why it matters to me and how it shaped my identity and writing. Through that process, I grew by learning how to be more reflective and intentional with my writing. I started to understand how to connect personal experiences to larger ideas and course concepts. It also helped me become more confident in sharing my beliefs in an academic setting while still staying true to who I am.

Shaping my future through writing

These reflections are not just about my past work, but how they prepare me for what's next. They demonstrate my ability to think critically, communicate effectively, and continuously improve – skills essential for my future academic and career endeavors. I believe this ePortfolio showcases my dedication to growth and learning.
